Poulsen Construction, Inc. is a Certified Green Building Professional. We strive to give our clients the cutting edge of green building and help them incorporate this into their building project.

As a general contractor, remodeler, and custom home builder, we are in a unique position to introduce green building concepts to our clients. As remodeling and custom building projects are unique and generally involve a fair amount of client involvement, owners are often receptive to implementing measures that will positively impact them and will appreciate that you have educated them about green options. Green building is full of benefits for you as well.

In almost every remodeling and new construction project, a great deal of material waste can be reused, deconstructed, or recycled instead of being disposed of in landfills. Taking a little time to identify and separate these materials can result in lower disposal costs and even save you on taxes! A growing number of non-profit deconstruction contractors can appraise the value of the materials and arrange for the donation of materials to various community nonprofits. Because the materials are donated, you or your client can claim a tax deduction.
